“The Merry Wives of Windsor”

Anna Prohaska appears in the role of „Anna Reich“ in the opera “The Merry Wives of Windsor“ by Otto Nicolai. This opera was premiered in Berlin 170 years ago at the Staatsoper, where it will be performed again soon. The story is based on Shakespeare’s “Merry Wives of Windsor” and the “Nannetta” from Verdi’s Falstaff is corresponding with the role of “Anna Reich”. Anna is working here with director David Boesch for the first time, the musical directors are Daniel Barenboim and Thomas Guggeis. The premiere will take place on October 3 at the Staatsoper Berlin.
